Shygirl has released her first single of 2026, "Alyse," written and produced with Karma Kid and JD Reid, accompanied by a six-minute music video directed by Francesco Loy Bell and Oliver Bell. The video unfolds in three acts, opening mid-story as two halves of a wealthy couple each uncover the other's infidelity, before building to a chase sequence through the streets of London, with Shygirl herself only appearing near the end.

The release follows a busy 2025 for the artist, during which she put out two projects: Club Shy Room 2, a sequel to her 2024 EP Club Shy, and Alias Is Me, a remix companion to her 2020 record Alias featuring contributions from Sega Bodega, George Riley, JT and Nick León. She also released two collaborative singles with Eartheater, "Shark Brain" and "Dolphin." Her sole full-length album to date remains 2022's Nymph.
