In an interview with Fox News Digital, Graham reflected on the scenes of grief he witnessed at Ground Zero and called for the country to recapture the spirit of prayer and religious observance that followed the attacks, describing it as a continuing national need rather than one confined to 2001.

Graham's comments accompany a new 30-minute BGEA programme, "A Day That Changed Our Lives Forever," which he hosts and which features survivors recounting their experiences and subsequent faith journeys. These include Genelle Guzman-McMillan, the last person rescued alive from the World Trade Center rubble after 27 hours trapped, who describes a mysterious figure she believes was an angel comforting her before her rescue, and Sujo John, who feared his pregnant wife had died in the South Tower before receiving a phone call confirming she had survived. Graham also recalled his late father, evangelist Billy Graham, addressing the nation from Washington National Cathedral days after the attacks to say America needed God's help amid a "new kind of warfare."
