Boy Throb, a four-member boy band that grew through TikTok, are campaigning for US authorities to approve an O-1 visa for singer Darshan Magdum, who remains in India while his bandmates perform in America. His remote appearance at a New York concert, where fans chanted “Visa!”, has made the immigration application central to the group’s public story and appeal.

The band formed in late 2025 and quickly gained one million TikTok followers by posting pop-song parodies and videos urging approval of Magdum’s visa application, submitted in December. Although some viewers initially dismissed them as a joke, the members say they are serious musicians: they have begun releasing original songs, while Magdum already had an online audience for his falsetto cover versions and the group has signed with Kesha.
