FSR 4.1.2 now on Xbox and Xbox handhelds, just in time for a certain big GTA 6-shaped game
AMD has added FSR 4.1.2 support for Xbox Series X and S, giving developers new upscaling options that could help older consoles run demanding games more smoothly. The update is timely ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6, whose graphics may put the six-year-old hardware under strain.
Developers can choose between a Full INT8 model and a Lite INT8 model, which is half the size and has a lower processing cost; both use the same amount of upscaler memory. FSR 4.1.2 is also supported on the ROG Xbox Ally range through a preview driver, initially with the efficient model, while broader Ally support is due in a later update. GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on Xbox on 19 November.
In short
