Fugitive Showtime star posts photos of himself enjoying private jet Thailand break after failing to turn up to Vegas court hearing
David Oancea, the sports bettor known as ‘Vegas Dave’ and for appearing in Showtime’s Action, has been issued an arrest warrant in Las Vegas after failing to attend a hearing where he was due to be taken into custody. The hearing concerned a contempt order over his alleged failure to hand over assets to satisfy a $30.2 million judgment, while his recent social-media posts showed him enjoying luxury travel in Thailand and possibly Japan.
Cabo Platinum, a Mexican holiday-rental agency, won the $30.2 million award last July after alleging that Oancea sabotaged bookings for properties in Mexico. He was ordered to surrender assets including Birkin bags, cryptocurrency, a $400,000 Richard Mille watch and three Los Cabos villas, but reportedly did not do so; he later claimed the properties no longer belonged to him. The US has extradition agreements with both Thailand and Japan.
