Hulu's hit thriller Furious, from creator Liz Meriwether, ended its first season with several loose threads that set up a highly anticipated second run, already confirmed before the finale aired. The show follows FBI agent Alice Black (Emmy Rossum) as she hunts vigilante serial killer Catherine Grace (Lola Petticrew), who has been targeting people who abused her in the past; by the finale the moral lines between hunter and hunted have become deliberately blurred, leaving fans with numerous questions about where the story goes next.

The biggest cliffhanger sees Alice discover a USB file on Jay Easton's laptop containing not video evidence of her own abuse, but a list of more than 50,000 people who downloaded footage of it, raising the question of whether she will pursue justice or turn vigilante herself. The finale also reveals that Alice killed Easton by suffocating him, mirroring Catherine's crimes, while Catherine's own secret — that she killed her friend Isabel — adds further complexity to their entangled fates. Speaking to Collider, Rossum said the discovery of the list's scale felt overwhelming for her character and hinted at exciting but still-undecided plans with Meriwether for how Alice's darker instincts will develop in Season 2.
