Hulu has commissioned three extended “Futurama” specials alongside the animated comedy’s forthcoming 14th season. The announcement, made at San Diego Comic-Con, signals continued investment in the revived series and gives fans new feature-length-style episodes to anticipate from 2027.

The first “XXXL-Sized” special will be Christmas-themed and is currently in production, although further release dates and story details were not announced. Season 14 begins on 3 August with two episodes on Hulu, with weekly Monday releases; it will also be available via Hulu on Disney+ for eligible US bundle subscribers and on Disney+ internationally.
