Future has released a new studio album, The Real Me, out on Friday 10 July. It marks the Atlanta rapper's first solo project since his two collaborative albums with producer Metro Boomin in 2024, and arrives with high expectations after Future described it as the "album of the century" in a June post on X. Should the record reach the top of the Billboard 200, it would give him his 12th career number one on that chart.
The album features 22 tracks in total, including the previously issued single "Radio". The release caps a busy 2026 for the artist, who ended his feud with Drake via a reunion on ICEMAN's "Ran to Atlanta" (which debuted at No. 2 on the Hot 100), teamed up with Tyla on "Game Time" for the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony at SoFi Stadium, and rejoined DJ Khaled and Lil Baby on April's "One of Them". To date, Future has amassed 229 Hot 100 entries, 16 of them reaching the top 10, along with three number one hits.
- Future has released his 22-track album The Real Me.
- It is his first solo project since 2024's Metro Boomin collaborations.
- A Billboard 200 chart-topper would be his 12th number one.

Future has released his new solo album, The Real Me, on 10 July. The Atlanta-born rapper is one of hip-hop's most prolific hitmakers, and this project is his first solo effort since two collaborative albums with producer Metro Boomin in 2024. He had built up expectations for the record himself, calling it the "album of the century" in an online post shortly before release.
The album's performance matters because of Future's long track record on the US charts: he already has three number one albums and 16 top-ten singles among 229 chart entries on the Hot 100, so a strong debut for The Real Me would extend that history. Its release also follows several high-profile moments for him this year, including patching up a long-running rift with fellow rapper Drake and appearing alongside artists such as Tyla, DJ Khaled and Lil Baby on other tracks.
Metro Boomin, mentioned as his recent musical partner, is a producer known for shaping the sound of much of contemporary hip-hop and R&B, while the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 referenced in coverage are the industry's standard charts for tracking album and song popularity in the United States.
