Speaking to Collider about her new Prime Video thriller The Runner, Gadot said the hold-up largely comes down to ensuring the script is fully developed, adding that the extended cast, including herself, remain committed to closing out the series on a strong note.

Gadot did not offer a firm timeline but stressed the priority is quality over speed, noting how many people involved care deeply about the franchise's legacy. She also expressed hope, echoing a suggestion from her interviewer, that the finale might bring the story full circle by returning to Los Angeles, where the original 2001 film was set.
