‘Game’ Back On: Michelle Branch’s Classic, Remade With New Radicals, Makes Billboard Chart Debut
Michelle Branch’s newly recorded version of ‘The Game of Love’, featuring New Radicals, has entered Billboard’s Adult Pop Airplay chart at No. 33. The debut marks her first appearance on the chart since 2011 and reconnects her with a song that was one of the biggest successes of her early career.
The original Santana featuring Branch version topped Adult Pop Airplay for 13 weeks in 2002–03, reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won a Grammy. The remake, released on 15 July, previews Branch’s EP Everywhere and Back Again, due on 6 November, while her accompanying tour is scheduled to run from 27 September to 13 November.
