The victory is notable because Metal Gear Solid 4 has long been locked to PS3, so its inclusion in the collection alongside Peace Walker, running smoothly on PS5, proved a decisive draw for series fans.

Nearly 700 votes were cast across 14 different PS5 titles in what had been billed as a tightly contested month with no single dominant blockbuster.
