Game of the Month: Phantom Blade Zero (October 2026)

Phantom Blade Zero won Game of the Month for October 2026 in a reader vote, topping a field of more than 20 PS5 releases. Its victory matters because the action game had been available for only a few days when voting opened, yet stood out among a crowded month of launches.

More than 1,100 readers voted, and the game was praised for its ambitious wuxia setting, combat and role-playing features, including perk-based weapons and accessories. It received a 9/10 review score and was described as a potential Game of the Year contender; other notable October releases included Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse and Star Wars: Galactic Racer.
