McLaren and Red Bull have won appeals against the Monaco Grand Prix result, overturning a podium finish that had been awarded to Alpine's Pierre Gasly. Gasly, who finished third on the road, will now drop back to seventh place after a court of appeal ruled against Alpine's earlier successful challenge to two five-second pit-lane speeding penalties. The reshuffle restores Red Bull's Isack Hadjar to third and McLaren's Oscar Piastri to fourth, with Racing Bulls drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad moving up to fifth and sixth.

The dispute centred on a 77cm discrepancy between the officially measured pit-lane distance and the shortest legal route, which had led Alpine to argue Gasly had not actually exceeded the speed limit. The appeal court found that, despite this, the event's original measurement parameters could not be retrospectively changed once competitors had raced against them, as doing so would breach sporting fairness. The ruling does not resolve wider fallout from the pit-lane penalty saga, which also affected other drivers including Mercedes' George Russell, who lost points over a separately mishandled penalty. Alpine said it disagreed with the decision but would respect it and remained focused on the championship fight.
