GENE HOGLAN Reveals ‘Only Challenging Part’ Of Doing Double Duty On Upcoming DEATH TO ALL/DARK ANGEL Australian Tour
Gene Hoglan says the main difficulty of playing drums for both DEATH TO ALL and DARK ANGEL on their January 2027 Australian tour will be coping with travel and limited rest. The bands will fly between shows, including runs of three consecutive performances, making it harder for him to nap and recover.
Hoglan said he is prepared for the demanding schedule and uses a concentrated vitamin drink for energy, avoiding stimulants such as Red Bull so he can sleep afterwards. DEATH TO ALL’s Australian debut will feature a set spanning DEATH’s catalogue, from “Scream Bloody Gore” to “The Sound of Perseverance”; the tribute band includes Hoglan, bassist Steve DiGiorgio, guitarist Bobby Koelble and vocalist and guitarist Max Phelps.
In short
- Hoglan will play for both bands on their Australian tour.
- Flights between shows and missed naps are his main concern.
- DEATH TO ALL plans a set covering DEATH’s full catalogue.
