A woman jogging in Cherokee County, Georgia, was allegedly targeted by a stranger who tried to run her over three times after she offered him a brief, friendly greeting during her Sunday morning workout. The attack was captured on video, and the accused driver has since been arrested and charged over the incident, which has been described as a terrifying, unprovoked assault that left the victim fleeing for her safety.

The suspect, identified as 72-year-old Jerry Wayne Ross, is accused of using his Honda Pilot to try to strike the woman on 23 April. He now faces charges relating to the alleged hit-and-run attack, with footage of the encounter circulating after being caught on camera.
