Georgia Tech is a university in Atlanta, Georgia, whose Yellow Jackets play in the top tier of US college football. The Atlantic Coast Conference, or ACC, is the league Georgia Tech competes in, and its teams play a regular season followed by bowl games for selected sides.
A linebacker is a defensive player who helps stop opponents from running or passing the ball. Team captains are chosen to help lead players on and off the field, while All-ACC honours recognise standout performers in the conference.
Efford’s role has made him a prominent figure in Georgia Tech’s defence and team leadership. His career record and the team’s recent bowl appearances help explain why his continued presence matters to the squad even when he is not playing.
