Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition reaches PS5 on 1 October

Sony has confirmed that Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition will launch exclusively for PS5 on 1 October 2026, combining the original 2025 game with substantial new content. The release adds a roguelike survival mode and a standalone story episode, while existing owners can upgrade rather than repurchasing the full game.
Most Wanted has players take bounties and defeat enemies to gain powers, tools and additional weapon-specialist characters. Echoes of Sekigahara expands Atsu’s story across present-day Ezo and flashbacks, with new areas, enemies, weapons, armour and dyes; the edition also includes Legends co-op, Digital Deluxe items, Watanabe Mode music, Photo Mode stamps, New Game Plus cosmetics and trophies. Owners of the original can upgrade for £11.99/$14.99.

Ghost of Yōtei is a PlayStation action-adventure game set in a fictional version of historical Japan. Players control Atsu, a warrior whose journey takes place in Ezo, the old name for much of what is now Hokkaido.
The game follows the earlier Ghost of Tsushima, though it has a different lead character and setting. It combines exploration, sword fighting and story missions, with some content drawing on real periods of Japanese history, including the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600.
Complete editions are packages that bring together a base game and extra downloadable content. Roguelike modes are designed around repeated runs with changing challenges, where players build up equipment and abilities but may have to start parts of the process again after defeat.
