Giorgia Whigham Joins Kevin Bacon in Amazon MGM Horror Thriller ‘Summoner’ (Exclusive)
Amazon MGM's horror thriller "Summoner" has added Giorgia Whigham to star alongside Kevin Bacon, with production set to begin filming in Ireland this autumn. The project is directed by Jeremy Slater, known for his genre writing on "Mortal Kombat II" and "The Umbrella Academy", and produced by horror filmmaker Andy Muschietti alongside Barbara Muschietti and Russell Ackerman, with Amazon MGM planning a theatrical release.
Bacon plays an exorcist named Jefferson Haddock who is summoned to an isolated witness protection property to confront a demon, inadvertently unleashing a force that endangers himself and everyone around him; Whigham will portray a protection agent. Whigham is best known for her role in Peacock's "Ted", which was the platform's most-watched original title at its 2024 debut, and has also appeared in "The Punisher", "13 Reasons Why" and "Scream". Executive producers on "Summoner" include Dan Kagan, Melissa Russell, Carl Hampe and John Schoenfelder.
