Teenage motorcyclist critically injured in Wiltshire crossroads collision
A 17-year-old girl is in a life-threatening condition in hospital following a collision between her motorbike and a Ford Transit van in Landford, Wiltshire on Saturday morning. The crash, which occurred at approximately 11.20am on the B3079 Lyndhurst Road, has prompted Wiltshire Police to launch an appeal for witnesses as serious road collisions involving young riders remain a significant concern.
The teenager was riding a Yamaha YZF125 motorcycle southbound on the B3079 when the collision occurred at the crossroads junction with New Road and Forest Road. The Ford Transit van was attempting to cross the B3079 onto Forest Road at the time of impact. Wiltshire Police's Serious Collision Investigation Team is requesting anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to contact them on 01225 694597, quoting log 124.
