‘Godzilla Minus Zero’s Final Trailer Reveals Legendary Monster Villain

Toho has released the final trailer for *Godzilla Minus Zero*, which introduces King Ghidorah as a new threat and one of Godzilla’s most famous adversaries. The film’s wide release in the US begins today, and its return to a post-war Japanese setting continues the story of the family at the centre of *Godzilla Minus One*.

Set in 1949, two years after the previous film, it follows former kamikaze pilot Kōichi Shikishima, his wife Noriko and their daughter Akiko as Godzilla returns. King Ghidorah, a three-headed monster first seen in 1964, can fly, fire lightning and attack with its multiple necks. The film opened in Japan on 3 November, setting a record for the biggest opening day for a live-action film there; it has a 90% Rotten Tomatoes critics’ score, compared with 99% for *Godzilla Minus One*.
