Google has announced a batch of new Android features as part of its September feature drop, with the standout addition being an expansion of Find Hub that lets users locate items without needing a physical tracker attached. Instead, Gemini will be able to remember the location of an important but rarely used item, such as a passport, based on a user's request, making it easier to track down belongings months later without buying dedicated hardware.

Users will be able to ask Gemini to save an item's location, complete with an optional photo, and later retrieve it either by asking Gemini directly or checking Find Hub's new remembered items tab. This feature requires Android 16 or later and will only work in regions where both Gemini and Find Hub are supported. The update also brings Motion Assist, a motion-sickness aid similar to Apple's Motion Cues, Guided Vision for reading fine print or locating objects via the camera in Gemini Live, new chat themes for Google Messages, and shared Google Keep notes within message threads.
