Google rolls out alerts for trackers left behind in Find Hub
Google is rolling out “Notify when left behind” alerts in its Find Hub app, which can warn Android users when they move away from a tracking device or the item it is attached to. The feature may help people notice a forgotten or dropped item before they travel too far to retrieve it.
Users can enable the alert for an individual tag in Find Hub’s device settings. It uses the Find Hub network to notify them when they are far enough away, with an exception for devices left at their designated home address in Google Maps. The feature appears to be available in the US and some parts of Europe, and has been seen working with Moto and Chipolo trackers.
In short
- Find Hub is adding alerts for trackers left behind.
- Alerts can be enabled separately for each device.
- The rollout is live in the US and parts of Europe.
