Google has unveiled an updated version of CC, an AI agent redesigned to help families coordinate household activities and manage their daily schedules. Originally launched as a productivity tool that delivered daily briefings, CC has been repurposed following user feedback requesting features for managing children's school events, sports practices, meal planning, and bills. The shift reflects broader industry trends as AI startups experiment with bringing agentic AI into domestic settings.

CC now operates with its own Google account and collaborates across multiple family members—up to six at a time—whilst maintaining separate permissions for data access. The agent integrates with email, calendar, and task systems to automatically capture important dates (such as appointment confirmations or school announcements) and add them to shared calendars. It can also handle specific tasks on families' behalf, including completing permission slips and activity registration forms, creating shopping lists, and planning weekly meals. The service runs on an isolated cloud system powered by Gemini and Google's Antigravity framework, though it remains limited to US users aged 18 and above with personal Gmail accounts, preventing younger family members from using it unless they misrepresent their age.
