Google has launched an experimental AI agent called CC designed to help families and groups stay organised through shared calendars, task lists and daily briefings. This represents a strategic pivot based on user feedback, returning to its family-centric purpose after being briefly rebranded as Daily Briefing earlier this year.

The CC agent operates as a dedicated Google account that up to six family members can selectively share emails with, receiving automated daily briefings about upcoming events and tasks. It can assist with administrative functions such as completing forms or creating shopping lists with user permission, integrates with Google Drive and Chat, and includes privacy protections preventing the agent from accessing individual inboxes or managing family membership. There is currently a waitlist for new users whilst existing CC users will receive upgrade prompts.
