Disney has announced that "Gravity Falls: Lost Legends" will be released on the digital comics platform WEBTOON in 2027, marking another return to the beloved animated series that concluded in 2016 after two seasons. The announcement came during the "Future of Digital Comics: Disney, Marvel, & WEBTOON" panel at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and forms part of a broader push to bring Disney, Marvel and Star Wars comics to the platform, allowing fans to revisit the show's mysteries without a full third season.

Originally published as a graphic novel in 2018 by series creator Alex Hirsch, "Lost Legends" comprises four separate stories featuring Dipper, Mabel, Stan, Ford and Pacifica, linked by the gnome Shmebulock during his once-in-a-millennium ability to speak. The original book featured artwork from Meredith Gran, Stephanie Ramirez, Asaf Hanuka, Jacob Chabot, Priscilla Tang and "The Owl House" creator Dana Terrace, and the WEBTOON edition continues a Disney-WEBTOON partnership that began in 2025.
