Great Lakes Creative Producers Lab Unveils Cohort of 15 Film Producers From Seven African Countries
The Great Lakes Creative Producers Lab has announced 15 participants for its 2026 cohort, drawn from seven African countries. The Kigali programme aims to help producers develop films with international reach while retaining local perspectives, and encourages collaboration across borders.
Thirteen producers will bring fiction or documentary projects in development, while two observers will attend without projects to focus on career development. The week-long lab runs from 26 to 30 October and includes workshops, individual mentoring and peer sessions, supported by four industry professionals.
