Green Goblin has been added as a surprise 17th playable character to the open beta of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, the upcoming fighting game from developer Arc System Works. The addition, revealed via a short social media video, expands the beta's roster and adds another marquee villain to a test that was already considered generous in scope, ahead of the full game's launch.

The open beta was previously set to feature 15 of the full game's 20-character roster, now increased to 16 with Green Goblin's inclusion, joining fighters including Black Panther, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Doctor Doom, Magneto and Iron Man. The beta runs over the coming weekend on PS5 and PC, offering online ranked and casual battles, various stages and a slice of the story mode, with the full game launching just days after the beta concludes.
