Grumpy, the band led by Heaven Schmitt, have announced a new album, Unfindable Ring, and shared its second single, "OBL," an alt-country track. The record follows the earlier 2026 single "Twenty Five" and marks the latest release from a project that has grown from Schmitt's solo endeavour into a full band featuring Anya Good, Ellie Long, Austin Arnold, Diego Clare and Lane Rodgers. Schmitt described "OBL" as reflecting the joy and vulnerability of touring as a band made up largely of trans musicians, contrasting moments of fear with the love and protection they find in one another.

Unfindable Ring is due out on 23 October via Bayonet Records and comprises 13 tracks, including a feature from D.A. Crimson on "The Whale." The accompanying video for "OBL," directed by Alex Tepper, continues a recurring motif in the band's clips in which Schmitt plays an unsettling, watchful figure, which they said speaks to real anxieties about how the band is perceived while touring as visibly trans performers.
