Netflix released a 27-minute “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look” in partnership with Rockstar Games, giving fans the most extensive official preview yet of the game before its 19 November launch. The release is significant because it arrives amid repeated gameplay leaks, allowing Rockstar to present its own version of the game and its story on its intended terms.

Captured on PlayStation 5, the footage follows protagonists Jason and Lucia through Vice City and the fictional state of Leonida, where a failed easy score draws them into a criminal conspiracy. Netflix had exclusive access to the special for six hours before wider release, and reported Netflix error complaints rose to 3,129 shortly before the debut; meanwhile, alleged leaked footage from a group calling itself CyberLeek has been repeatedly removed online as Rockstar pursues subpoenas.
