A purported Grand Theft Auto 6 map has circulated online, and members of the long-running GTA VI Mapping Project say they believe it is genuine. Their assessment matters because the fan group has spent years reconstructing Rockstar’s forthcoming open world from trailers, screenshots and earlier material, so the leak appears to validate much of its work — though Rockstar has not officially confirmed the map.

The leaked image reportedly places Vice City and other locations where the community project predicted, while also suggesting a substantially larger setting than GTA 5’s. Mappers say GTA 6 appears to use the same coordinate system as GTA 5, enabling highly precise comparisons; one estimate puts the leaked map at about 1.7 times GTA 5’s size, although its apparent low level of detail could indicate an unfinished or older version.
