‘GTA 6’ PC Release Officially Rumored for 2027

Collider ·

A report based on four anonymous industry sources says Grand Theft Auto VI is targeting a PC release in the first quarter of 2027. If accurate, the shorter wait could help PC players avoid buying a console or spending months out of the conversation, though Rockstar has not confirmed a PC date.

The game is scheduled for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19 November 2026, with the reported PC window running from January to March 2027. That would be a faster PC release than Grand Theft Auto V, which arrived about 19 months after its console debut, and Red Dead Redemption 2, which took just over a year. The story follows Jason and Lucia in modern-day Vice City and the wider state of Leonida.

  • GTA VI is reportedly targeting PC in early 2027.
  • The console release is confirmed for 19 November 2026.
  • Rockstar has not confirmed a PC release date.

Grand Theft Auto VI is the next main game in Rockstar Games’ crime series, set in a fictional version of Florida called Leonida. Its central characters are Jason and Lucia, and much of the story takes place in Vice City, a modern-day city first featured in an earlier game in the series.

Rockstar has announced a 19 November 2026 release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but has not confirmed when the game will come to PC. PC releases of Rockstar’s previous major games followed their console launches by more than a year, so the timing matters to players deciding whether to wait or play on a console.
