GTA 6’s Biggest Competition Officially Arrives on PC in 2027

NetEase’s Ananta will launch in early 2027, positioning the free-to-play game as a potential competitor to Grand Theft Auto 6 and its online world. Its mix of open-world action, social activities and anime presentation draws comparisons to GTA, Marvel’s Spider-Man and Genshin Impact.

Ananta is due on 15 January 2027 for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Android and iOS. Players will explore two large cities, travel by scooter, car and other vehicles, take part in mini-games, and play as a supernatural investigator. The game will include in-game purchases focused on cosmetics, vehicles and decorations rather than character unlocks.
