Rockstar Games has confirmed that an "extended look" at Grand Theft Auto VI will air on 27 August, giving fans their first in-depth preview of the long-awaited sequel ahead of its November launch. The reveal will debut early on Netflix before going out more widely on YouTube, marking a new promotional partnership between Rockstar and the streaming service, which previously collaborated on mobile ports of the original GTA trilogy.

The Netflix stream begins at 3pm ET, three hours ahead of the 9pm ET YouTube premiere, though Rockstar has not disclosed what the preview will contain. Anticipation has built since Rockstar confirmed development in 2022, followed by a major leak and two trailers, most recently last year; predecessor GTA V has sold nearly 230 million copies according to Take-Two. GTA VI is due on PS5 and Xbox on 19 November, a date that has reportedly reshaped release schedules across the games industry.
