The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final will feature an unprecedented musical collaboration when conductor Gustavo Dudamel brings together two major orchestras during the halftime show. The New York Philharmonic will join Venezuela's Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra in their first joint performance at the Argentina-Spain match on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The orchestral tribute has been organised as a humanitarian gesture toward Venezuela, following devastating earthquakes in June that left the country facing significant casualties and displacement. Twin tremors measuring 7.2 and 7.5 in magnitude resulted in approximately 5,000 deaths, tens of thousands injured, and nearly 17,000 people homeless, whilst destroying hundreds of schools. The World Cup halftime programme features an expansive international roster including BTS, Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira, and Burna Boy, with broadcasts on Fox Sports and Telemundo.
