Guy Ritchie Is Officially Outdoing ‘MobLand’ With New Prime Video Crime Thriller Series

Collider · 11 hours ago

Guy Ritchie is developing a new British crime drama for Prime Video called Capital, which will focus on modern organised crime in London. The series is being made with Rob Williams, who also produced Ritchie's Young Sherlock, and is expected to appeal to fans of Ritchie's existing crime hit MobLand, which airs on Paramount Plus rather than Prime Video.

The move follows a mixed but busy year for Ritchie: Young Sherlock proved a major success for Prime Video and has been renewed for a second season, while his cinema release In the Grey, starring Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal, underperformed at the box office before moving to digital platforms. MobLand, starring Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan, is due to return for its second season later in 2026. Casting and release details for Capital have not yet been announced.
