Guy Ritchie’s 97-Minute Action Thriller Resurfaces To Become a Streaming Hit

Guy Ritchie’s action thriller *In the Grey* has found a much larger audience on streaming after a disappointing cinema release. It has topped Starz’s most-streamed films list for more than a month, showing how audiences can discover a film at home even when it struggles at the box office.

Eiza González plays a lawyer who sends operatives Bronco and Sid, played by Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal, to recover a billion-dollar debt from businessman Manny Salazar. After her mentor is killed, the team use bribery and deception to turn Salazar’s island against him. The film, which also stars Rosamund Pike, cost $70 million to make and grossed $27.8 million in cinemas; its action, humour and the leads’ chemistry are highlighted as reasons for its streaming appeal.
