Halle Berry, Zoë Kravitz, Colin Firth and Jack Whitehall have been cast in the romantic comedy "Otherwise Engaged," which will be directed by Suzanne Farwell, the longtime producer of Nancy Meyers films. The project brings together a notable ensemble of award-winning actors and is being launched internationally at the Toronto International Film Festival's market, giving it early visibility ahead of production.

The film follows Charlie (Whitehall), who is set to marry Gabby (Kravitz) until his estranged father (Firth), recently released from prison, arrives and unexpectedly falls for Gabby's mother (Berry), complicating the couple's wedding plans. Filming is due to start in March 2027 in New York, with Mister Smith Entertainment handling international sales and CAA Media Finance managing US rights; Farwell co-wrote the script with Gabriel Mizrahi and will produce alongside Susan Cartsonis and Laura Rister.
