Halloween: The Game has launched on PC and consoles with a story mode that follows Michael Myers across six chapters, doubling as a tutorial for the melee combat, stealth and execution mechanics used in the game's multiplayer sessions. A walkthrough guide has been published to help players progress through each chapter, teaching core concepts before they carry them into competitive play.

The Prologue sees Michael escaping a sanitarium while restricted in ability, introducing stalking, grabbing, context executions and stealth movement through foliage. Chapter One then follows him outside a bar, where players fight bikers, learn the "Shape Jump" stealth-speed move, and track a fleeing mechanic using sound-based red pings before finishing him to complete the chapter. The publisher notes the guide is a live piece that will be updated as further chapters are covered.
