Halo: Campaign Evolved doesn’t have split-screen on PC, but this mod fixes that, if you’re willing to look past some quirks

Eurogamer · 3 hours ago

Halo: Campaign Evolved has launched on PC and consoles, but its PC edition lacks official split-screen co-op despite the feature being available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A new Nexus Mods release enables local split-screen on PC by activating functionality already present in the game, highlighting the unusual omission from the official PC feature set.

The mod supports two local players rather than the four available on consoles, requires a hotkey to activate and has only been tested with the Steam version, not the Microsoft Store/Game Pass release. Reported limitations include a likely requirement for both players to use controllers and subtitles spanning both screens; its creator says it does not alter the game executable, instead adding a second player at runtime through UE4SS.

  • A mod enables PC split-screen co-op in Halo: Campaign Evolved.
  • It activates disabled functionality already present in the PC version.
  • Support is limited to two players and has several quirks.
