Polygon has published a full gameplay video of “Pillar of Autumn”, the opening mission from Halo: Campaign Evolved, allowing players to watch the remake before its wider release. The mission reintroduces Master Chief awakening during a Covenant attack and escaping the doomed UNSC ship, making it a key showcase of how the classic game has been rebuilt.

The premium edition is already available to pre-order customers, while the general release is scheduled for Tuesday 28 July. Polygon’s review praises the Unreal Engine 5 remake for its visuals, performance and faithfulness, and highlights three new prequel missions with Sergeant Avery Johnson plus new skull modifiers intended to increase replayability.
