South Korean actor Han Chae Young has had success with a Korean-language remake of "Raising His Mistress's Child" on FlareFlow, a mobile-first microdrama platform, with the series surpassing 10 million cumulative views since its 10 July premiere. The remake is based on a global microdrama original that earned more than $15 million in revenue, and its performance reflects a wider trend of established film and TV stars moving into short-form, vertical-screen productions as the format gains larger audiences and greater investment.

The story follows a woman who, after a difficult childbirth, discovers the baby she has been given actually belongs to her husband's mistress, while her own child has been taken, prompting her to seek to reclaim her baby and expose those responsible. The original drew about 4.8 million viewers and over 513,700 completed views, prompting COL Group's FlareFlow to commission a localised version for Korean audiences; the remake has recorded strong retention rates of 84.4% after episode one and 67.6% after episode two. FlareFlow, which operates in 14 languages with roughly 5,200 series and 33 million registered users across more than 200 countries, said the casting reflects microdrama's evolution into a premium storytelling format attracting mainstream talent.
