Tom Felton’s dystopian science-fiction film *Altered* has found unexpected success on streaming after being poorly received in cinemas. Despite its weak critical and audience reviews, the film’s performance suggests that streaming platforms may be giving it a second chance and helping Felton expand beyond his role as Draco Malfoy.

Directed by Eduardo Sánchez and written by Jamie Nash, *Altered* follows Leon, a paraplegic member of an oppressed group, who infiltrates an elite district with his niece to investigate a powerful energy-producing phenomenon. The film received only 10% from critics and 12% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, but it currently ranks sixth on HBO Max’s global top ten, alongside films including *Superman* and *Hamnet*.
