Harvey Willgoose’s mum fears son’s killer is taunting her from his cell
Harvey Willgoose’s mother, Ms Willgoose, says anonymous social media accounts have sent her messages she fears may be intended to taunt her on behalf of her son’s killer. The Ministry of Justice has referred the allegations for investigation, saying offenders using social media from custody would face consequences.
Umar Khan was 15 when he stabbed Harvey, a Sheffield schoolboy, to death at All Saints Catholic High School in February 2025. Khan was convicted of murder and ordered to serve at least 16 years; the Ministry said children in custody are not allowed mobile phones and that it will take appropriate action if the investigation finds rule-breaking.
