Has Cliftonville’s season finally turned a corner?

Cliftonville have moved on from a six-match league losing run, winning their past three games in all competitions and scoring 12 goals. Their 7-1 victory over Carrick Rangers was a striking change in form and has raised hopes that manager Jim Magilton’s side may be beginning a sustained revival.

Brian Healy has scored four goals in his past two matches, while Liam McStravick, Rory Hale, Ben Quinn and Rhyss Campbell also contributed against Carrick. The result was Cliftonville’s first home win since 5 September and lifted them to fifth; their run will be tested by a busy schedule across several competitions.
