Hatch Sleep Clock Review: A Contactless Sleep Tracker (2026)
Hatch’s $249 Sleep Clock combines a sunrise alarm, bedside light and sound machine with contactless sleep tracking from a nightstand. After a month’s use, the reviewer liked its routines and clear reports, but still preferred an Oura app for tracking, as the clock does not measure physiological signals.
A motion sensor detects breathing and small movements, then estimates bedtimes, sleep duration, waking times and sleep stages. Sleep-duration readings were generally similar to those from an Apple Watch and Oura Ring, while sleep-stage estimates varied; placement also matters, with Hatch advising users to keep the device unobstructed and 2 to 4 feet away. Its audio library requires a $6 monthly Hatch+ membership, though sleep data remains available without it.
- The $249 clock tracks sleep without being worn.
- Sleep-duration estimates aligned broadly with wearable trackers.
- Audio features require a $6 monthly subscription.
