HBO’s costume drama The Gilded Age will return for its fourth season on 1 November, more than a year after its previous season. The series follows the wealthy Russell family and their old-money neighbours in 1880s New York, continuing its exploration of social ambition and class conflict.

A related holiday album, Voices of the Gilded Age: The Christmas Album, will be released on 6 November by Concord Theatricals Recordings. Produced by Grammy winner Desmond Child, it will combine traditional Christmas songs with new compositions and feature cast members including Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector, Christine Baranski, Audra McDonald, Donna Murphy and Kelli O’Hara. It will be available digitally and on CD and vinyl.
