HBO’s cancelled sci-fi drama Westworld has reportedly seen renewed streaming interest on iTunes, despite never receiving its planned fifth and final season. The resurgence suggests the series retains an audience ahead of a reported remake, even after its removal from HBO Max and a decline in ratings and critical reception during its later run.

Created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, Westworld earned an 80% critics’ score and 75% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, alongside more than 50 Emmy nominations and nine wins. HBO cancelled it after four seasons; it was subsequently moved to free streaming services such as Tubi for financial reasons, while its creators now work on Prime Video’s Fallout.
