Performed by Stephanie Economou with Ari Mason and Wayne Ingram, it presents the story from Rushville residents’ perspective, reflecting the destruction and resentment caused by Hal Jordan and John Stewart’s intervention.

The blues-rock and folk-inspired song draws on Green Lantern imagery, including references to emerald light and the “blackest night”. Economou said it was inspired by a scene involving John, a grieving young woman and his regret over the surrounding deaths, while the video combines performances with Episode 5 footage and the show’s gritty, mysterious visual style.
