HBO’s ‘Succession’ Replacement Is So Good, It Already Got Renewed for Season 2

HBO’s legal drama *War* has been renewed for a second season before its first episode aired, with the network ordering two seasons from the outset. Created by George Kay, the series centres on two rival London law firms and a high-profile divorce, pairing boardroom power struggles and wealthy clients with a conflict over the firms’ own history.

Season one follows tech billionaire Morgan Henderson, played by Dominic West, and film star Carla Duval, played by Sienna Miller, as their divorce turns into a battle over infidelity and public image. The firms are old-money Cathcarts and the newer Taylor & Byrne; Archie Renaux’s young lawyer Johnny Warren secretly passes information between them. The article highlights the ensemble cast and shifting alliances, while noting that the story’s similarities to *Succession* shape expectations for the show.
