Football legend Kevin Keegan has died at the age of 75 following a battle with cancer, prompting an outpouring of tributes from across the sport. Graeme Souness, a close friend, praised Keegan as someone who became a superstar without ever changing, describing him as a gentleman in the truest sense and reflecting on their long friendship.

Keegan's last public appearance was in Newcastle in May, where despite his illness he reportedly retained his trademark smile and charm in front of hundreds of adoring fans.
